July 15, 2021

Along with his postgraduate students, Roland Rich, professor at Rutgers, State University of New Jersey has published an e-book titled “COVID-19 Under Democracy and Autocracy.” This e-book is a ten-country study of government responses to the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. It examines six democratic government responses and four autocratic government responses to determine whether regime type had an impact on how each government responded to the pandemic. Amb. Rich was previously the Executive Head of the UN Democracy Fund as a Reagan-Fascell fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy.
