African Defenders, a network of African human rights defenders, has launched a seventh Ubuntu Hub city in Accra, Ghana. The Ubuntu Hub Cities initiative helps human rights defenders who are at risk due to their work to temporarily relocate to a safe city in their region. With seven cities across the continent, human rights defenders can gather at these hubs for a safe place to rest, work, and share their experiences with others. Since its inception, the Ubuntu Hub Cities initiative has supported 118 human rights defenders in Africa.
