Yiaga Africa Works to Improve the “Not Too Young To Run” Law

Yiaga Africa reports that the Not Too Young To Run Movement will have the opportunity to redress Nigeria’s age reduction law as the National Assembly begins its constitutional amendment process. Although the final “Not Too Young To Run” law did lower the age restrictions for many government offices, it did not include reduced age limits for senatorial and gubernatorial offices.

After the “Not Too Young To Run” law was passed in 2018, there are 20 beneficiaries, ages 25 to 30, that currently serve in Nigeria’s State Houses of Assembly.
