The Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) recently introduced their new strategy for democracy promotion under their Strategic Framework 2017-2022. On September 12-13, WFD convened 200 delegates from around the world to attend its 25th anniversary conference in London, United Kingdom. At the conference, WFD announced they would increase direct engagement with civil society and a variety of partnerships to foster sustainable democracy. WFD will foster cross-sector engagement to improve transparency efforts, elections, policy making, as well as promote inclusive governance.
