The World Movement for Democracy, in cooperation with its partners on the Civic Space Initiative, submitted a framework outlining the requirements for an Enabling Environment for Civil Society to the UN High Level Panel on the Post 2015 Development Agenda. The 27-member High Level Panel was created last year to advise on the global development framework after 2015. Given the proliferation of restrictions on civil society in recent years, our submission urges the Panel to prioritize an enabling environment for civil society in the future development goals.
