Report Explores New Strategies to Support Independent Professional News Media

The Center for International Media Assistance released a report this month on a debate happening among international donors over which approaches will prove to be most effective at preserving independent journalism. With the news media’s current business model in continuous crisis, donors are realizing their role may be crucial in ensuring what’s considered a pillar of democratic government. The report, titled “Supporting Media At a Time of Crisis: Donors Explore New Strategies,” is based on 27 interviews of both private and official donor agencies. Check out the report here.
