Ya Kumba Jaiteh is a member of The Gambia’s National Assembly, where she serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Local Government and Lands Committee. She is also a member of the Female Lawyers Association of Gambia, an organization which aims to change laws in The Gambia concerning domestic violence, freedom of expression, and equal participation for women in policymaking bodies.
