Ron Deibert is a Professor of Political Science and Director of the Citizen Lab, a laboratory focusing on research, development, and high-level strategic policy in human rights and global security, at the University of Toronto. He was the co-founder and a principal investigator of the OpenNet Initiative and Information Warfare Monitor projects. VICE recently named him one of the top “Humans of the Year” in 2017.
