Mark Nelson is the Director of the Center for International Media Assistance (CIMA) at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) that conducts research and convenes experts to discuss media development around the world. Before he joined CIMA, Nelson focused on democratic governance issues as the head of the World Bank Institute’s European office. Nelson draws on his extensive journalistic experience from his time working as the European correspondent for the Wall Street Journal.
