Over 300 Civil Society Organizations Release Open Letter to Investigate Human Rights Violations by China

Chinese Human Rights Defenders joined over 300 civil society organizations from more than 60 countries in an open letter to the United Nations demanding the development of an international mechanism to hold the Chinese government accountable for their human rights violations. The letter calls for a special session of the Human Rights Council to evaluate the range of violations by China’s government, and an impartial and independent UN mechanism focused on China.
