Directorio Legislativo has launched a new resource, the Civic Space Guardian (CSG), to monitor regulations impacting civic space in Latin America and the Caribbean. This resource assesses how detrimental a country’s regulations—proposed or existing—are to civil society, as well as the likelihood that proposed regulations will be implemented. In this way, the CSG will let civil society activists more easily see which countries are in the process of changing their stance towards civic freedoms.
