The Asia Democracy Network joined 26 civil society organizations in signing a letter that denounced China for imposing its National Security Law on Hong Kong. The letter called on the Chinese government to repeal the law, which passed on June 30, 2020. ADN also expressed concerns over “China’s influence to eradicate human rights”, and that “the spaces in which communities are able to exercise their civil and political rights are systematically being eroded.”
