The Citizen Observatory on Corruption (OCC) is a joint initiative between the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Democracy (Redlad), the Citizen Forum of the Americas, national chapters of Transparency International in Latin America, and other civil society organizations in more than 18 countries in the Americas, to promote citizen participation in monitoring the progress and challenges for governments to implement the Lima Commitment. The Citizen Observatory on Corruption raises awareness of the impact that corruption has across the region, especially in the poorest and most neglected communities, and the need to monitor and report on government efforts to combat it through effective and sustainable public policies. To launch the new phase of the Citizen Observatory on Corruption, Redlad, the Citizen Forum of the Americas and Transparency International will host an online discussion on November 22, with civil society leaders who will share their experiences fighting corruption.

Online discussion: November 22, 2023 – 2:00 PM GMT/UTC.
