The World Movement joined Human Rights Watch and other human rights organizations in a letter calling on Egyptian authorities to stop their continued harassment and detainment of Egyptian human rights activists’ family members. This comes after a concerning pattern of arrests have occurred involving family members of human rights activists living abroad, in what is described as “hostage-like arrests.”
