Cultura Democrática joined 85 Cuban and international human rights organizations to express their concerns over Cuba being re-admitted as a member of the UN Human Rights Council for a fifth term. This joint statement disapproves of the UNHRC’s October 13 decision to allow Cuba to sit on the HRC for fear that Cuba will continue to undermine international norms enacted by this council to protect human rights and weaken the integrity of the council.
