The World Movement is happy to share an essay by Hurford Youth Fellow Annouchka Wijesinghe, titled “Emphasizing the Importance of the Right to Information in the Fight Against Disinformation”, which examines how disinformation campaigns are harmful to democracy, and the ways that laws protecting the right to information can fight this threat. Ms. Wijesighe encourages civil society activists to use this essay as a tool to help guide their efforts in countering state-led disinformation propaganda.
