Citizens Assess the Quality of Governance in Liberia

On November 5, 2018, Naymote Partners for Democratic Development (Naymote) released its fifth report on citizens’ perceptions of the quality of governance in Liberia, having interviewed 3,185 registered voters on a variety of topics concerning democracy and the performance of Liberia’s government. Overall, respondents indicated that they are satisfied with how democracy is working in Liberia, and they were optimistic about government efforts to address education and youth needs. However, government performance in handling the economy, job creation, health services, and fighting corruption were all given “poor” or “very poor” assessments.
