This International Day of Democracy we celebrate the power of the next generation! Meet the World Movement’s Democracy Champions, Hello Gulö and Sandra Zenda. Gulö is a storyteller and environmentalist from Indonesia. In 2022, he founded Jadi PNS, a youth-led platform focused on inspiring youth through informative and educational talk shows covering a wide variety of topics, including economic development and democratic governance. Sandra is a human rights defender, environmental activist, and women’s rights leader from Zimbabwe. She currently works as a program coordinator at the Institute for Young Women’s Development (IYWD). Building on the What’s Next? Youth Declaration our Democracy Champions are working to expand civic space for youth and build more just and inclusive communities.
