Calling for Constitutional Order in Zimbabwe

117 local civil society organizations have responded with a formal statement calling for “democratic order” to the apparent “military takeover”of Zimbabwean government institutions on November 15, 2017. The statement outlines a strategy for resolving Zimbabwe’s socioeconomic and political issues, and calls for the peaceful participation of all relevant stakeholders in the resolution process. Additionally, Zimbabwe’s Human Rights NGO Forum has also issued a statement calling for an immediate return of constitutional order in the country in Zimbabwe.
