The Ratiu Forum, a joint initiative between the Ratiu Family Charitable Foundation, the Ratiu Democracy Center, and the London School of Economics IDEAS Think Tank, is now accepting applications for the 2024 Journalism Mentorship Program. This is an opportunity for early-career journalists from Romania and Moldova who wish to advance their professional skills and understanding of the Central and East European region. Through online sessions and one in-person workshop, which will take place at the Ratiu Conference Center in Turda, Romania, participants will learn from prominent experts on cutting-edge topics relevant to the Central and East European region. Selected participants will be able to develop key competencies needed for professional journalism and investigative work, such as pitching, writing, and investigative skills while covering topics such as the war in Ukraine, propaganda and disinformation, gender politics, and the state of democracy in Eastern Europe.
