The Asia Democracy Network (ADN) publically condemned China’s move to pass a national security law without the consent of Hong Kong’s legislature, thereby undermining the city’s autonomy. ADN also denounces local governments actions preventing peaceful protests from happening. They call on the international community to join them in condemning the actions of the Chinese government and to demand the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association in Hong Kong.
