The Hollings Center for International Dialogue has released five videos that explore the challenges to journalism in the age of new media, investigating such topics as trust in the media, cross border collaboration, and the spread of disinformation. In the video below, Bayan Tal, senior adviser at the Jordan Media Institute and manager of its Media Information Literacy program, discusses the importance of teaching individuals to properly search, analyze, and produce accurate information so that they can more fully participate in civil society.
