Yesterday was International Right to Know Day. The Right to Information is an element of free speech which can also improve respect for a host of other rights, at the same time improving democratic participation, accountability, and the quality of information sources. Africa Freedom of Information Centre recently released its State of Right to Information in State of Right of Information Africa 2015 Report. This year’s issue focuses on the right to information and corruption in 15 African countries.
