Youth, Politics, Democracy: Public Opinion Research in Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia

Over the past year, the Poland-based Institute of Public Affairs conducted a public opinion study to gauge youth views of politics and democracy in Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. The resulting report shows that youth voiced support for democratic institutions, but that other democratic principles were conditional based upon perceived threats to national security. Additionally, across all three countries, youth expressed dissatisfaction with their politicians, which translated to a lack of enthusiasm for engaging with the political process.
