Humanitarian Awards Global has recognized Zainab Hawa Bangura, former Chair of the Steering Committee, and Glanis Changachirere, World Movement Steering Committee member, as Most Distinguished Women Change Makers in Africa. The award is given to women across Africa who have made groundbreaking contributions in their field. Zainab was recognized for her leadership of the United Nations Office of Nairobi, and Glanis received the award for her women’s rights activism through her leadership of the Institute for Young Women’s Development.
