On July 18, 2018, the NAYMOTE Partners for Democratic Development(NAYMOTE) officially launched its “President Meter Project,” an initiative to help citizens in Liberia hold President George M. Weah accountable for following through on his campaign promises. With support from the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), this President Meter Project marks the seventh such program implemented in the West African region.

The project will use an online platform to monitor 86 of the President’s campaign promises with the goal “to improve public accountability, public trust in the government and transparency in the management of Liberia’s governance processes.” Throughout the duration of the project, NAYMOTE will host town halls to update local communities on progress, receive feedback from members of civil society, and produce policy briefs from the conversations to inform media and other local stakeholders. Read more about the project and connect with NAYMOTE on Facebook for more updates.
