The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) is soliciting project proposals “to develop and implement advocacy and/or public awareness campaigns designed to promote and protect the freedoms of assembly and association” at local and national levels. Project proposals should be based upon the UN Special Rapporteur (UNSR), Clement Voule’s, most recent annual report to the General Assembly, which “underlines that the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association are indivisible from other human rights.” INCL is especially interested in proposals that: advocate for civil society’s participation in the implementation of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; focus on outreach to marginalized and at-risk groups as well as labor and environmental organizations; and counter efforts to stigmatize civil society. Grants amounts will vary with a maximum of $20,000 awarded. Read more here.
